Prayer Requests from 12/6 SG:

Dennis – Wisdom next yr. Thesis work for next semester.

Laura – courage to keep facing life

Kenneth – Theological guidance, 3 essays to write (election, Barth, Dickenson)

Joung – Perseverance, tired, busy, repetitive bad cycles.

Sonya – Overcommitted, not getting much sleep, not getting work done and it is starting to take its toll.

Andrew – Discipline to be able to enjoy the upcoming events. Look forward to the reward. More of the Christmas Spirit.

Steve – wisdom to lead Bible study, sudden season of despair/confusion, physical protection (to not neglect his need for food)

Angela – Kanya trip: protection in travel to and fro, sleep, thesis, increased faith

Jonathan – To have a heart for orphan children, to break “iron fetters” of injustice (Ps.107), compassion

Regina – soccer coach’s (Ronnie) family (his health (stroke in fall), comfort in a season of grief post mom’s death

Esther – Med school interviews

Prayer requests from 11/29 Small Group:

Andrew = more discipline with his QT

Regina = being able to love others selflessly

Joung = enjoying my time with God

Kenneth = interest in his studies and improved prayer life

James = finishing his assignments

Dennis = being able to enjoy communing with God, especially in prayer

Jeanny = regain joy in Christ

Steve = aimlessness, thinking more about how I can bless others

Laura C = sleeping well, reunion with family and parents

Blake = discipline with his time

Prayer Requests from our small group on October 18th:

Steve = being able to spiritually rebuke others

Joung = being able to spend more time with God

Derrick = Bible Reading Program

James = that growing thirst for scripture would
continue and increase faith/understanding; greater desire to share his
time with people

Regina = prayer for her prayer life (make time, more time, better focus);
greater dependence, trust and patience in God and His love

Angela = praise that thesis progressing and grateful for a hands-on
thesis advisor; prayers for joy as she works on her thesis, less anxiety
and for job search

Laura C= praise that work is manageable; prayers for this week's
travels/meetings in CA and for I-man's dissertation proposal

Here are the prayer requests from the 2nd Senior SG of the year.  Unfortunately, I only have the prayer requests for the guys because we split up, but next time, we'll get the SG leaders in all the sharing groups to write down the requests.

Jonathan = be patient and loving in the way I talk, and to fight lust vigorously

Andrew = be able to take things in despite his busyness, and do them wholeheartedly

Stephen = not be selfish with his time, his family reunion

Kenneth = not be selfish with his time, motivation for studying

Joung = accountability at Princeton so that I can sustain relationship with God

James = not undervaluing accountability and fellowship with others, living his 21st year for God, being more open with his roommates

Blake = living in the present, his family, busy weekend of preaching

Sonya = allergies, having revitalized faith and enthusiasm for service

Kenneth = studying for God, finding rhythm in studies
James = tutoring in Trenton, not having sinful thoughts during class
Angela = reach out to others, wisdom in relationship with parents
Blake = Lauren and Andrew's health, not compromising family for work
Dennis = finding clarity in thought, finding Sabbath rest, diligence in reading Bible
Steve = freshmen small group, not being selfish with his time
Andrew = slow down and take the year in
Laura = be honest with herself but yet loving towards others
Mimi = dealing with her mother's death, being a witness in her lab, adjusting to Princeton
